These terms describe the intended use of StrideSafe and its website. They require legal-entity, jurisdiction, and contact review before public release. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies where presented by the App Store.
The service
StrideSafe provides personal walking progress, optional pairing, shared step progress, selected journey status and location sharing, Apple Watch controls, notifications, and optional subscription features. Availability and accuracy depend on device permissions, sensors, connectivity, Apple services, and backend services.
Consent and responsible use
You may pair only with a person who has knowingly accepted the connection. Do not use StrideSafe for covert tracking, coercion, harassment, stalking, emergency dispatch, or any unlawful purpose. Pairing does not grant automatic access to steps or location.
Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and devices and for providing accurate account information. You may sign out or delete your account in the app. Account deletion is permanent.
Health, motion, and location
StrideSafe is a wellness and connection product, not a medical device. Step totals, workout details, GPS accuracy, delivery timing, and status can be incomplete or delayed. Do not make medical, emergency, or personal-safety decisions solely from the app.
Subscriptions
Eligible StrideSafe Plus plans renew automatically through Apple unless cancelled according to Apple’s rules. Apple shows the local price, billing period, renewal details, and purchase confirmation. You can manage or cancel in App Store settings. Features remain locked unless Apple verifies an active entitlement.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass consent, access another account or raw location data, interfere with the service, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited, abuse invite or reaction systems, or use the service to violate another person’s rights.
Availability and changes
StrideSafe may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. Background delivery can be affected by operating-system limits, force-quit behaviour, Low Power Mode, sensor quality, and connectivity.
Safety limitation
StrideSafe cannot guarantee safety, continuous monitoring, exact location, arrival, or notification delivery. It is not an emergency service and is not a replacement for local emergency services or direct communication.
