Steps
Open Stride Safe on iPhone and choose Apple Health or iPhone Motion. If you use Apple Health, confirm that read access for Steps is enabled in the Health app. Stride Safe reads totals; it does not write workouts or step samples.
Pairing
Codes contain eight characters and expire after 24 hours. Ask the inviter to create a fresh code. Pairing is only complete after both people explicitly accept the connection.
Sharing
Check that the connection is active, the journey is still active, sharing is not paused, and the selected mode is Approximate or Precise. Starting a journey with sharing Off is valid and does not expose location.
Staleness
Stride Safe marks a shared location stale after five minutes without a fresh update. Check connectivity, location permission and whether the sharing iPhone is able to provide location updates.
Apple Watch
Privacy-reducing actions such as Pause, Stop and sharing Off can queue for delivery. Starting or increasing location sharing requires the paired iPhone to be reachable so a delayed message cannot enable sharing later.
Privacy
Use Settings to disconnect from your partner. Account deletion removes the account and associated pairing, commute, reaction, step-summary and latest-location data through the app’s deletion flow.
Contact
Contact support and include the device model, iOS or watchOS version, and the screen where the issue appears. Do not send precise locations, access tokens, health samples or passwords.
